The house in Constitution Street is an imposing late Victorian, early Edwardian building. It is only a five minute walk away from the popular bars, bistros, restaurants and pubs of The Shore in Leith, while a five minute bus journey in the opposite direction will take you to the heart of the city centre.
This apartment has recently been extensively refurbished. The imposing entrance hall has a marble floor and grand staircase.
The livingroom is truly jaw-dropping, with original wooden panelling, high ceilings, ornate cornices and sash-and-case windows. The interior design is light and elegant, with chandeliers, leather couches, a traditional rug and a stunning rococo mirror.
The large, stylish kitchen has fitted units and has been completely kitted out with brand new, modern appliances and utensils. It has a distinctive scrubbed wooden table that can seat at least six comfortably.
The bathroom design is inspired by the fin de siècle period. The one nod to contemporary design is the beautiful blue glass splashback round the bath. There is a vintage sink and toilet, and tongue-and-groove panelling. The shower room has a mirrored wall, artisan tiles and a power shower.
There are three charming bedrooms - two doubles and a single - each featuring elegant and comfortable beds and classic white bedlinen. Cream walls and chandeliers create an elegant, sophisticated and restful environment.
We regret that we cannot allow smoking or pets - we want to keep the apartment special for all our clients now and in the future. There are two parking spaces at the back of the building for clients to use.
